While it might feel a bit time-consuming to read the fine print, we believe it is the best way to manage expectations and avoid any surprises.

Definitions

  • The “Work/s” means the Work you have asked us to complete, and includes, where appropriate, the provision and installation of materials, and the supply of services either as quoted or at our standard rates (set out below).

  • The “Client” means the person/s or entity being provided Works as specified in any invoice, document or communications. The Client includes any person or entity that they denote as their duly authorised representative. 

Quoting Terms

To proceed with any quoted work, please formally accept the quote in writing. Upon acceptance of the quote, a deposit may be required to secure an installation date for the work.

Quotes are valid for the stated period from date of issue unless agreed otherwise. Please note, in respect of the work that goes into a quote, we kindly request you respond with an acknowledgment of receiving any quote within 72 hours. Should no acknowledgement of the quote be received in this time without reasonable explanation, it will immediately be considered void and may be subject to a requote fee.

Variations to Work

Stripped Electrical Ltd reserves the right to alter the cost of the Work:

  • if a variation to the Materials which are to be supplied is requested; or

  • if a variation to the Works originally scheduled (including any applicable plans or specifications) is requested; or

  • where additional Works are required due to the discovery of hidden, unidentifiable, or unforeseeable difficulties (including, but not limited to, discovery of hazardous materials, limitations to site access, inaccurate plans/measurements supplied to us or pre-existing non-compliant wiring) which are only uncovered upon commencement of the Work.

Price & Payment

Our Work is billed out at the following standard rates. 
Stripped Electrical Ltd reserves the right to adjust these prices at any time.

Electrician (Labour Rate)

  • $95.00 plus GST per hour for NZ Qualified Registered Electricians.

  • $45.00-90.00 plus GST per hour for Apprentices based on experience & skill level.

Parts/Materials

  • Parts and materials are supplied at cost plus a margin.

Consumables, Sundries & Tools

  • Depending on the requirements of the Work; $10.00 - $50.00 plus GST.

For jobs that span more than one day, this may be charged at a daily rate.

Waste Disposal

  • Depending on the requirements of the Work; $10.00 - $50.00 plus GST.

For appliances or other specialty waste disposal, additional charges may apply.

Administration, Certification & Vehicle Services

  • $49.90 plus GST

This supports our administration time and legal certification as required under the New Zealand Electrical Safety Standards AS/NZS3000:2007 and the New Zealand Electrical Safety Regulations 2010. It also helps to support vehicle running costs (which includes, but is not limited to; fuel, on-road costs and insurances).This flat rate covers the majority of scenarios, however there will be occasions where additional costs may be necessary.

Vehicle Services (Additional)

  • $24.90 plus GST.

The additional vehicle services charge is deemed necessary at our discretion when multiple vehicles and/or trips are required for a project.

Call Out Fee (Includes First Hour Labour) 

  • $239.90 plus GST 

  • $334.90 plus GST Public Holiday

We define our normal hours of business as Monday to Friday 8.00am-4:30pm. Urgent assessments and/or urgent works requested immediately/same day or outside of these hours will be subject to a call out fee.

Additional Isolated Labour Charges

These chargeable rates are applicable in the relevant situations outlined below and replace the standard labour charges for the applicable period of time.

After Hours Work

  • $142.50 plus GST per person/per hour

If, in the course of a job, we are required to do Work which falls outside of normal working hours, this will be agreed upon prior to the Work commencing. If it has been arranged as a call out, call out fees will be applied. If not, after hours rates apply.

Parking Permits/Tolls/Paid Parking

If, whilst undertaking Work for you, we are required to pay for parking or any other vehicle related charges are incurred, these will be passed on to you at cost (without margin).

Payment/Invoices

Payment of the invoiced amount must be received by Stripped Electrical Ltd in full, and without set off or deduction, on or before the date specified on the invoice. We recommend making payments 24 hours or more before the invoice due date to allow for fund transfers between banks. Any overdue invoices may be subject to an interest charge. Any questions or concerns regarding the invoice must be raised within 48 hours of the invoice being issued.

Progress Invoices

Progress invoices are issued for Work completed on site, to cover labour and materials for Work done to date, before the scope of Work is complete. We will be sure to remain transparent with you and give at least 48 hours notice of any progress invoices before they are issued. Stripped Electrical Ltd reserves the right to stop Work if progress payments have not been made.

Discounts/Adjusted Pricing

Discounts and/or adjustments to our standard rates including promotional discounts, are offered and applied at our discretion, and may be revoked if an invoice is not received in full on or before the due date.

Unpaid Accounts

­Interest on overdue invoices shall accrue daily at a rate of three percent (3%), beginning on the third day following the due date of the invoice and until payment is received in full. Any costs incurred to recover unpaid accounts, such as debt collection fees, will be charged to the Client.

Warranties

Stripped Electrical Ltd stands by the parts and materials that we source, supply and install through our trusted suppliers. In the case that you wish to supply any materials or products, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred if these are not fit for purpose for any reason (including, but not limited to, size, colour & finish, rating, standard, or quality), and/or any warranty claims.

We warrant that if a defect in any workmanship of Stripped Electrical Ltd becomes apparent and is reported to us immediately upon discovery and within twelve (12) months of the Work being completed, then we will (at our sole discretion) replace or remedy the workmanship.

Warranties shall not cover defect or damage for any of the following situations:

  • failure on the part of the Client to correctly maintain any materials; or

  • failure on the part of the Client to follow any instructions or guidelines provided by us or the product manufacturer; or

  • the continued use of any materials after a defect becomes apparent; or

  • fair wear and tear, any accident or act of God; or

  • interference from the Client or a third party in attempting to resolve or repair any defect or damage without our consent.

Please note that in the case of light bulbs, we are happy to assist with any warranties that may apply with the product itself but do not hold the responsibility for the delivery or fitting of replacement bulbs under any warranty circumstances.

You agree that materials have inherent variations in shade, colour, texture, surface or finish. While every effort will be made by us when selecting materials, we shall not be liable for any variations between batches of materials or between new and existing materials (and if there is any variation, the materials and services will not be considered to contain any defect or fault in workmanship).

Health & Safety

We take our health and safety protocols seriously at Stripped Electrical Ltd which is why our team regularly attend first aid, health & safety and electrical safety courses in New Zealand. We ask that you, the Client, ensure that we have clear and free access to the worksite at all times to enable us to complete the Work in a safe and conducive manner. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the site (including, but not limited to, damage to internal or external surfaces such as floors, walls, and ceilings, furniture, and any landscaping/plantings) unless due to negligence on our part.

Marketing

When you provide us with your personal details including email address, you are authorising us to retain and use this information within the legal parameters of the Privacy Act 1993. This may include receiving marketing emails from time to time. It’s simple to opt out of receiving these emails if you wish to do so - no hard feelings! There is an unsubscribe button at the bottom of all our marketing communications or you can send us an email requesting to be removed from our marketing mailing list.

General

All designs, specifications and instructions supplied to us with regards to the Work shall not cause us to infringe any patent, registered design or trademark. The Client agrees to indemnify Stripped Electrical Ltd against any action taken in respect of any such infringement.

All communications, recommendations, documentation and pricing supplied, is owned by and remains the intellectual property of Stripped Electrical Ltd and must not be shared with any third parties without express consent of the owner.

At any time, we may elect to subcontract all or any part of the Works, however we retain liability and our obligation to you. The Client agrees and understands that they do not have authority to give any instruction to any of Stripped Electrical Ltd’s subcontractor’s without first seeking our consent.
